{Beauty & Exercise} Lomax Ladies Day!

My favorite place to take a spin class, grab a healthy lunch, and treat myself to the occasional massage, Lomax, is having a day dedicated just to us girls next Tuesday the 21s of May.

This means that all massages booked on that day are half-price. Don’t have a ton of time? You can book a 30 minute massage for just £24!

Try an anti-cellulite cupping treatment for just £30 or try a Lava Massage, which uses self-heating lava shells to ease aches and pains, for half the normal price.

The Lomax blast classes, RealRyder Spin classes (my favorite!) and the Mat Pilates classes are all just £10! It’s a great opportunity to try the classes to see if you like them.

Finally book a PT session (try Hilary!) then you’ll get a free Purelosophy smoothie.

{Beauty & Exercise} A new kind of barrecore shake….rattle, and roll…

Every so often I am faced with the difficult decision about posting about something that I love. Because it’s happened before that after blogging about something, I myself can’t get an appointment. Well last week Grazia magazine beat me to it and told the world how fabulous and fun barrecore’s new barrdance class is, and now you can barely get a spot.

Well, last weekend I woke up to an email that I had GOTTEN OFF THE WAIT-LIST! I practically ran to the studio and took my spot at the barre. Peri, one of my favorite instructors, was teaching, and made the entire hour a blast. We began by warming up with some very basic ballet moves (trust me, you DON’T need to be a ballerina to take any of the barrecore classes, or I wouldn’t be able to hang), and then spent the remainder of the time learning several choreographed segments of one long dance routine. It brought me straight back to my high school cheerleading days.

The music was pumping, and we were having so much fun most of us forgot we were actually exercising. I’m definitely working this new class into my workout routine.

{Beauty & Exercise} RealRyder Spin Classes Come to London

I have been waiting for a spin studio to open in Chelsea FOREVER, so I am super excited to report that now one exists on the Fulham Road. Last week I was grabbing my lunch at Lomax when I saw this sign…

One of the trainers, Hilary, was there when I spotted it. “When did this happen?” I asked. Well, apparently Lomax opened the small studio packed with RealRyder bikes in January and it’s been buzzing ever since. This isn’t your average spin class ladies. RealRyder bikes are NO JOKE, and this is the first time that they’ve been brought to the UK. I immediately booked in to try it out.

{Beauty & Exercise} Back at the Barre!

On Friday I was having a little early Mothers Day celebration with some other darling moms and we were chatting about barrecore. “It feels like  you’ve been in a car crash the day before. That’s how I know it’s a good workout,” said one of my girlfriends. It sounds awful but I totally agree with her. After taking a little bit of time off from barrecore I went back last week. It took me so long to make it to a class because I knew just how hard it was going to be. My side-plank was rubbish, my waterski a mess, and I could barely stop shaking the entire class.

{Travel} A Girls Weekend at The Montage, Laguna Beach

I was supposed to be back in London today, but unfortunately Mini-AG was not well and we couldn’t fly, which means another few days in the sun. So for any of you ladies visiting California any time soon, I thought I would recommend a great place to relax and sneak in a little tan- even in January!

Mini-AG, my mom, and I spent three glorious days last weekend in Laguna Beach at The Montage. I have been to the hotel several times for vacation, spa days and a wedding, but this was the first time that I went with Mini-AG, and it was fantastic. We were greeted in the lobby with a wagon of stuffed toys for her to choose from, there was a crib and diaper-genie set up in our room, and great kid-friendly options on the menus.
