The last year or so everyone has totally freaked out about what we are putting into our bodies. As someone that tries (emphasize on the word “try” because I fail, a lot) to be gluten/dairy/sugar- free. I am always watching what I put IN, but up until now I have completely ignored what I am putting ON myself, namely in the shower.
My incredible hair stylist, Mathieu Clabaux introduced me to the all-natural, organic and sustainably sourced hair care range, Onira Organics. I listened as he told me all the wonders of what taking your hair back to a healthier natural state, but didn’t really decide to try Onira until I turned the bottles around on my current shampoo and conditioner and realized the amount of unhelpful, and probably harmful chemicals that I was scrubbing into my scalp.
So here’s the story about Onira. This is not just about switching your hair products, it’s actually about changing the entire way that you care for your hair to achieve incredible results in an eviormentally respectful way. The complete renewal and repair system actually asks for us- wait for it- to treat the hair before shampooing.
The Onira Serum (which included Tahitian Ginger and Jojoba) and Mask (which contains shea butter and Argan oil) are the first steps and applied before shampoo and conditioner to infuse the hair with restorative plant extract and essential oils. This way your hair is freed from synthetic chemicals and is restored to it’s true radiance and strength. Onira’s exclusive elixir of Tahitian Ginger is a highly concentrated blend of Polynesian Ginger Shampoo flower extract, and deeply nourishing Monoi. This unique, organic blend regenerates inside the hair strand and rebuilds the protective outer layer.
The formulas are manufactured in France using a non-chemical approach and are never tested on animals. The Onira products are 98% natural and 100% free from parabens and silicones which your current products are likely full of. Mathieu, the Creative Director, has created a variety of hair rituals and treatments which are available at Dryby London.
I’ve just started to use the products to detox my hair, and can already feel a huge difference. Since I put my hair through hell with all the coloring and heat tools, I feel this is the least I can do to give my locks a much needed break from the all of the unnecessary chemicals.
