Welcome to AG! I’m Christy.
For those of you who are new to the site, here’s what it’s all about. I’ve been living in London for 12 years, and in those years I’ve come across so many American ladies who have moved to town and want to figure out the basics of navigating this fantastic city, and I wanted to help!
I’ve studied at the London School of Economics and Pepperdine Law School’s London campus, worked in Parliament, had two babies, and started a social media business in London, so I have a lot to chat about, and I’m glad you’re here to read my ramblings.
The purpose of American Girl in Chelsea is to share all I (and my trusted friends) have learned about moving to and living in London. There’s fun things like where to eat and shop, but also practical information, like my personal recommendations for GP’s, how to navigate the Home Office, and who to call if you need an immigration lawyer. I’ve also recently added a “My Style” section because I have tiny passion for fashion.
I try to make this blog a resource tailored to fabulous and chic ex-pats, but over the years I’ve learned that you Brits like it too, so thank you everyone for all your support. AG has definitely become a discerning guide for ladies from both sides of the pond.
I hope you enjoy this little labor of love! Remember if you’d like to contribute, comment, or ask a question, please feel free to contact me. Also check back regularly as I usually plan a few networking events each year. They’re always fun. And there’s always champagne!
