{Beauty} Perfect 10 scores again. This time in the facial category.

You may remember my post about Perfect 10 and their wonderful at-home manicure and pedicure. Either that or you’ve read about them recently in Tatler or the Vogue beauty blog. Well, up until last night I was using the lovely Claire and her team to have my nails done after Mini-AG has gone to sleep. Little did I know, she is also a killer esthetician as well.

Claire from Perfect 10 arrived ready to transform my living room into a spa, fit for giving a totally calming and effective Elemental Herbology facial. And it was glorious.

The Elemental Herbology products use the highest quality raw materials including herbs, flowers and minerals from reputable suppliers. Oh, and they smell incredible!

It was such a lovely feeling this morning waking up after leaving all the goodness on my face all night long. My skin gets so dry in this London winter weather and it really made all the difference.

In addition to lovely nails (including Shellac and Artistic) Perfect 10 also offers massages and waxing in the comfort of your living rom. AND, because you are all so special, and your skin may need a little extra TLC after holiday indulgences, Perfect 10 is offering American Girl readers 15% off Elemental Herbology facials when you quote the blog! To book an appointment visit their website and fill in the online booking form,  mail hello@perfect10mobilebeauty.co.uk, or call 07862275189.

{Eat & Drink} Markham Inn arrives on Chelsea Green.

Happy Boxing Day!! I love the English tradition of taking the day after Christmas to continue the eat-a-thon… Although, I am not quite sure how to fit in anything else after yesterday.
And speaking of yummy meals…..
I am no stranger to lunching on Chelsea Green, and although I love Tom’s Kitchen, the options until recently were rather limited.  It was time for a new addition to the adorable area. Well, The Markham Inn has just re-opened on Elystan street and has quickly become a new Chelsea hotspot.
Don’t let the name fool you, this is not a pub any longer, (my husband was disappointed when there were no beers available on draft) but rather a sophisticated brasserie-style restaurant with red leather booths, a big warm fireplace, and great European food.
There were a lot of delicious items to select from on the menu, but I was really craving a nice burger, and the bacon and cheeseburger with french fries, coleslaw, and pickle really hit the pregnancy spot! American Husband had the Dorset crab on toast which he claims was scrumptious.
The Markham Inn also has live music on Tuesday and Sunday nights, which makes for a great evening out. For more information, and to make a reservation, visit their site.

Merry Christmas to You and Yours!

This is the first time, in four years of living in London, that we are actually spending the holiday here. I am so excited to wake up tomorrow morning with my little family. Mini AG will be very spoiled, needless to say, as it is her last Christmas as an only-child.

Thank you to all my lovely readers for all your support this year. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.

{Eat & Drink} Lunching at Automat, THE American Brasserie.

I had lunch today at Automat and came to the silly realization that I haven’t ever posted about the delicious American Brasserie in Mayfair. Whoops.

If you haven’t been for a meal, you simply must. The casual diner-type restaurant is perfect for a post-Bond Street-shopping lunch, an amazing Sunday brunch or a great dinner with friends. Although the scene is laid-back, don’t be fooled, you probably need to call ahead for a table.

As a Los Angeles native and one who ate a chopped salad at least three times a week, I was ecstatic to find one on their menu. None of this rocket with a little tomato thing, this is a genuine American-style chopped salad in all it’s glory, and the best one I’ve found in London thus far.

The men in my life say that the hamburgers are fab, and apparently the meat is imported from the US. So if you’re really craving a good US-style burger, then you won’t be disappointed.

BUT my friends, you can not leave Automat without taking a bite of their macaroni and cheese. Choose to add truffle, bacon, or spinach, but whatever you add you literally can’t go wrong. It’s beyond cheesy-gooey-goodnees and the perfect thing to enjoy on a cold winters day!

Automat is located at 33 Dover Street, W1S 4 NF. For more information and to peek at their menu, click here

{Other Diddies} Little Mix gets a McQueen Make-Over for Grazia.

Ok, I’m not going to lie. I think the girls from Little Mix are cute, especially Perrie. I am predicting she has a break-out solo career in about a year.
The girls are gracing Grazia’s Christmas dressed in plaid McQ by Alexander McQueen… take a peek….
Love them OR could care less?
