{Fashion Friday} Cute tops to wear during this bizarre British Summer…

It’s sunny. It’s not sunny. Can you keep up?
One minute I’m wearing a trench coat, and the next a mini-skirt.

For casual weekends, try any of these adorable tops with a pair of jeans (white or classic denim)…
Yes, they may be slated for Autumn, but bust them out now, and layer later….. it is a win-win.

Pair with white jeans for a summer BBQ or garden party.
Rebecca Taylor again. Love this.

What are you wearing this weekend!??
All tops available at Trilogy stores.

{Eat & Drink} Sensational Sartoria!!

Last week I was invited to try Sartoria in Mayfair. The restaurant exceeded every single expectation I had. The food was absolutely incredible and the service was perfection.
A member of the D&D Group and located on the famous Savile Row, Sartoria is so much more than a power-lunch spot. It is chic-gourmet-Italian magic. The menu includes a standard a-la carte selection, as well as a regional menu which changes monthly. The restaurant is currently offering the best of Sardinia on the regional menu, and having been there, I can say Sartoria does the Italian island very, very proud.
Devon crab salad, bruschetta
Octopus, tomato, & garlic sauce

Choose from over 200 delicious Italian wines, sorted by region. Sommelier, Michael was really helpful and we were happy to put our selection in his hands.
An off-the-menu, special ravioli creation made especially for us by head chef Lucas Pfaff.
Delicious does not begin to describe…
Roast suckling pig, wild fennel

Cheese cart before.
Cheese plate after.
Tip: If its a nice summer day or evening, and there are two of you, request one of the tables by the window. It’s a lovely spot to be.

{Sponsored Post} Leave your Little Ones in Safe Hands.

Anna from “Babysitters of Kensington and Chelsea” wrote to tell me about her service and I thought it would be helpful to share with all of you. While I know some gals who use sitters.co.uk, this is a more personal and local alternative. Also you don’t have to pay a booking fee!! Amazing!
Here is some information from Anna:

Calling all weary Mothers and Fathers! Do you remember what your other half looks like? Every time you see your friends do they introduce themselves?
Now it’s Mum and Dad’s turn to have some time, thanks to Babysitters of Kensington and Chelsea (BOKAC) – the first company of its kind that allows parents to choose and pay for a babysitter online.
Anna Cameron, founder of BOKAC personally meets all of the babysitters to make sure they are the best of the babysitting bunch. Each sitter has a profile on the website, a mini CV so to speak, so that you can choose which babysitter you would like on your preferred date.
BOKAC covers all of West and South-West London and charges £10 an hour including VAT and booking fee – there is no subscription fee or monthly charge. What’s more, because our babysitters live in your local area there are no travel expenses to cover.
It really is a simple and safe as it sounds but it is easy to get in touch with Anna if you would like to have a chat and make sure there is heart behind the helpfulness! When you are ready to take a well earned break from your little ones let BOKAC be there for you.

AG Speaks with Grazia Beauty Editor, Liz Hambleton.

Last week I was invited to meet Liz Hambleton, Grazia’s Beauty editor, at Liberty. It was an amazing afternoon, and I was really thrilled to get to ask Liz some questions for us AGs. Well, us AGs that suffer from dry skin and hair….

I explained to Liz that after growing up in Southern California, I had a really hard time with dry skin and hair in London due to the weather, hard water, and central heating, and she provided me with some golden tips….

{Liz, giving her beauty advice while we enjoyed bellinis)

HAIR
First, Liz suggested that I try Rodin hair oil. With a blend of eight essential oils, this helps to leave hair healthier, more lustrous, and residue-free. You can nab this great product here

Liz is a big fan of the Kérastase shampoo and conditioner line, but I told her that after years and years of using it, I felt that it was adding a bit of build-up to my hair, and after trying I am obsessed with the Shu Uemura Shusu Sleek shampoo and conditioner. She agreed that she had tried and thought these also were fab.

SKIN
For dry skin Liz recommended either the Clarins Face Treatment Oil or the Rodin Olio Lusso.
The Rodin Oil is made from a blend of 11 essential oils derived from flowers and botanicals.  It can be applied morning and night, and is is perfect for anyone seeking hydrated skin, and a luminous complexion
If you prefer the all natural route, Liz recommended we try products by Weleda. I’ve found this Almond face oil that sounds lovely.
A huge thank you to Liz, and the ladies at Liberty for having me!

Has living in London wreaked havoc on your skin or hair? If so, what are your tips?
