So if you’re a religious reader and/or twitter-follower, you know that Hubby is on gardening leave, and that we’ve only taken separate vacations this summer. Me to the beaches of Spain, him to the golf courses of Scotland. So, we’ve planned a couple weekend getaways to relish in some quiet time together before he starts working and I will likely never see him again.
The Four Seasons in Hampshire was the absolute perfect fit for a relaxing mini-break. It is about 30 minutes outside of London by train, and so there is no having to deal with travel-stress.
Checking in to our lovely room, which overlooked the beautiful landscape.
The view from our table at The Bistro. Ahhh, peace.
Sampling some of Hampshire’s finest. Beer that is. I stick with France.
Enjoying the sunset before dinner…
Entrance to Seasons Restaurant for dinner.
Whatever you do make sure you order the cheese plate for dessert. It serves mostly local cheeses and it was out of this word delish!
Walking the grounds on Saturday morning…
Spa Entrance. I had a wonderful facial with Espa products.
One thing I had never experienced, before my treatment began the therapist let me choose what color light I wanted in the room. I choose blue for calming.
And then we went on a bike-ride…
where I found this little dock….
