{Practical Tid-Bits} Meet My New Dentist at elleven

February 12, 2014 | 4 Comments

One of the most frequently asked questions I get in emails from you girls is where I get my teeth cleaned. Well, I’ve tried a few places, and now I can officially say I have found our family dentist.

Yesterday I had my teeth cleaned by Dr. Komal Suri at elleven, named for it’s address at 11 Devonshire Place. The space is simply gorgeous. The treatment room has massive windows and ceilings and looks more like someone’s beautiful drawing room than an actual dentist’s office. Dr Suri and I immediately hit it off, and here’s why YOU’LL love her too, she’s AMERICAN trained, at NYU to be specific. Which means all the dental- and orthodontic lingo that we know from growing up, she understands. She even imports her favorite toothpaste and mouthwash from the States for her patients because she thinks its the best. They may even be the same products other American dentists such as Smiles by design in Syracuse and others endorse, as well as tell their patients over in America to use as well!

Dr Suri took x-rays, cleaned and polished my teeth, and I was really impressed. She used a mechanical cleaning utensil making the process really fast. I would have been in and out of there in 30 minutes if I didn’t have so much fun chatting with her. One of my friends from back in the US recently had her teeth whitened by a dentist in Tallahassee so I was also keen to ask lots of questions about teeth whitening treatments. It turns out that there are so many different teeth whitening options out there it is important to educate yourself about them before you commit to a particular treatment.

At the end of my cleaning, I felt so comfortable with Dr. Suri that I even made plans to take my children in. There are additional practitioners at elleven including, Dr. Anthony Lam, Dr. Shivani Patel and Dr. Sameer Patel and they are all internationally renowned experts in their fields and pioneers in the world of cosmetic dentistry. elleven offers everything from basic teeth cleaning to braces, implants, you name it. I would highly recommend it!

My daughter doesn’t have braces yet, but we’ll be using Elleven for those as well. Their orthodontic consultation was the best I’ve experienced in three countries.

Thanks so much for this – will be booking appointments for all the family.
Was a bit unsure about UK dentistry but this really looks the BEST!
