American Girl in Chelsea

A chic guide for American women who have relocated to London, England.

{Practical Tid-Bits} Have you Quiquped yet?

Logo-602x273On Friday I had the pleasure of meeting two of the founders of Quiqup, the new delivery service in London that promises to bring you anything you want, any time you want it. Unlike other food delivery companies in London, Quiqup can pick up food for you from ANY restaurant that does takeaway. Hungover and need a Shake Shack burger? Quiqup it. Trying to be clean an lean for the month of January? Quiqup can bring you fresh cold pressed juices and salads from Tanya’s Cafe, The Good Life, or from pretty much wherever you’d like.

But wait. There’s more. What makes Quiqup different is that you can have more than just meals delivered. One of the team members told me, “We’re asked to go to the Apple Store all the time, along with Boots, Starbucks, and Whole Foods.”

Left your purse in a taxi and it’s now on the other side of town?  Send a Quiqie, one of the many professional and friendly drivers. Have a dinner party in 10 minutes and forgot the wine? Quiqup it. Quiqup your whole grocery list for that matter, the team doesn’t just have motorbikes out there, but cars and vans to handle bigger orders.

Quiqup

The process is super super simple. After downloading the app, simply select a category of what you’d like to order- Takeway, Groceries, Drinks, Electronics, Health and Beauty (they’ll even pick up prescriptions!) or just make a custom order. You can literally have ANYTHING picked up.

Your Quiqie will be in constant communication with you from the moment you place your order on the app. You’ll get a text message confirming his or her number, and they will let you know when they have the order, and when it’s on the way to your front door. There’s even map within the app so you can track where your Quiqie is at all times. One evening I ordered dinner, and with the app open, I was able to see when the Quiqie was at my front door, so that I could open it before the doorbell woke up the kids.

The cost of all of this is less than getting a taxi to and from where you are ordering from, and the delivery fee is based on how far the Quiqie has to travel. It is all clearly displayed on the app, so there’s no hidden fees. You’re credit card isn’t charged until you sign for your order, and are happy with what you’ve got.

I promise you girls, this is a London game-changer.

You can download the app, in the App Store, here.
