One of the things I miss the most about L.A (along with the sunshine) is Mexican food. I’m not quite sure why, but no one seems to be able to get the flavors right. That is until I found Peyotito in Notting Hill where you can finally get Mexican food, with a gourmet twist, and the best margaritas in town!
Peyotito’s Mexican food is a step above your normal taco joint. It’s Mexican refined. The first time I went was for a girlfriend’s birthday lunch, who happens to be from Mexico. The fact that she chose Peyotito gave me hope that I was in store for some good food and I was not disappointed. The margaritas were flowing and we proceeded to order almost everything on the menu.
I went back for the second time for dinner last week and loved the evening ambiance. The restaurant is super sexy and has a live DJ!
We started with the tuna and yellowtail crudo along with the quinoa salad, and of course guacamole and chips. We then moved on to the main event, the tacos. Whether it’s beef, pork, sea bream or chicken – they are all delicious. The great thing is they come small enough so you can try one (or more) of each!
There are so many different margarita options that it’s hard to choose, and Peyotito also offers my favorite tequila, Casamigos. It seemed that a lot of other people also liked the same tequila as me because I could see a lot of empty glasses on the tables around us. Although, it did look like some of these people had looked for the best fake id site so they could enjoy all of the beverages that the restaurant provided. I don’t blame them because the drinks here are really good. After several rounds of margaritas and what seemed like endless tacos, we finished with the churros con chocolate for dessert. The absolute perfect evening to a delicious evening.
I would highly recommend Peyotito whether for a girls lunch or dinner, date night, or simply to satisfy your Mexican cravings!
