I am also a fellow American (NYer) living with my wife, who’s an avid reader of your blog, and we also have a mini AG. I wanted to introduce you to onefinestay.com, where I currently work. I thought that onefinestay.com may be of interest to you and your readers.
onefinestay is a unique membership service. Travellers to London can stay in a high-end home while the owner is out of town, and enjoy hotel-style services during their stay. Owners (or tenants, in some cases) of beautiful homes can become members which allows them to earn hassle-free income from their homes when they aren’t using them, whether it be for trips to the US to visit family, work, or just holidays to the continent. We do all of the work: providing our own 5* linens, towels and toiletries; locking away any valuables and sealing off closets and cupboards with personal effects; and welcoming guests and handling all queries during their stay. We even give them an iPhone to call us on.
This could be interesting for American ex-pats who take frequent holidays, as is part of the ex-pat experience (at least it was for us before the mini AG came around!). We have particular demand for homes in West London, so I think a lot of your readers could really benefit from membership (which is currently free-of-charge, providing the home is up to scratch).
