I was going to start this post with a smug comment about how I’m sitting here in the Los Angeles sunshine writing about coats, but it’s ACTUALLY raining here in LA this morning, and I really wish I had brought this red coat. Truth be told, this is an old Marc Jacobs number, one of my very first London coat purchases, but there are so many great bright statement jackets (this similar one from Hunter is fantastic) and when it’s a gloomy day in London, bright is the way to go.
On to the denim. If you haven’t purchased a pair of Frame Denim, NOW is the time. These jeans are the most soft and comfortable ones I’ve ever worn. So much so that I wore them the entire 11 hour flight here. What’s even better is that they are super flattering and look great with pretty much anything.
These ankle boots are from the Alaïa Outlet Shop in Paris (18, rue de la Verrerie). The amazing boutique discounts their dresses, shoes, and accessories up to 50% off, and while I couldn’t walk in these killer heels at first, I am now addicted to them. After all being just 5’2″ I need all the extra height I can get. The boots are also available on The Outnet, here.
So there you have it chickens. Leave the boring black coat at home every once and a while, and stand out from the clouds.
SHOP IT
