THE COUNTDOWN IS ON LADIES. I can’t believe that I am already scrambling to prep for Christmas and the one type of gift that you can never have too many of is those for the hostess. At this time of year, if you’re anything like me, you’re bopping from one drinks party to the next and let’s be honest… it’s just not cool to turn up empty-handed.
So, if you’re struggling for thing to stockpile in your gift cupboard, here are a few things that you will absolutely not go wrong in gifting.
A Merry Christmas Hamper, Fortnum & Mason. You can never go wrong with a Fornum & Mason Hamper. This Christmas treat is full of festive delights and contains all the necessary celebration essentials one would need for a fabulous party. It includes champagne, Christmas Pudding, Sir Nigel’s Orange Marmalade Vodka, Glacé Clementines, Elvas Plums, Chocolossus Biscuits, Liqueurs Selection, Sea Salted Caramel Truffles, Bazaar Olives and Smoky Nuts. Wait there’s more, the gift hamper comes with the famous F&M Christmas crackers as well as a Christmas candle. If you’re spending Christmas morning at someone else’s house, bring this.
Gaspard Candle, Cire Trudon. You can never go wrong with candles, I am constantly rotating mine throughout the house, so if you’re going to gift one, make sure it smells lovely and is beautiful to look at. Once the candle has burned through you can use the glass to hold matches, cotton balls or trinkets.
Heritage Tea Bag Selection, Harrods. For the tea fanatics. There’s a lot of them out there. This is a great option for your PA, your Husband’s PA, grandma, and pretty much anyone British.
Pamper Hamper, Daylesford. This hamper is filled with mouth watering foods and some pampering extras including organic prosecco, dark chocolate peppermint thins, organic chocolate and one of Daylesford’s lovely candles, this is a great gift for any “it must be organic” hostesses in your life. Did I mention it’s organic?
Courlty Check Three-Tier Sweet Stand, Mackenzie Childs. I like to think that I was one of the original Mackenzie Child’s fans. Before the Kardashians had it, before it was stocked at most department stores, I’ve had Courtly Check in my kitchen since I was married nine years ago! This tea stand is a perfect hostess gift, and one that they can reuse for parties over and over.
The Art of Entertaining, Relais & Châteaux, Menus, Flowers, Table Settings, and More for Memorable Celebrations. This brand new book is probably one of the best ideas for hostess gifting. Brought to you by Relais & Châteaux, “The Art of Entertaining” is a book dedicated to sharing the secrets to creating outstanding parties and events at home. Released in October 2016 the compilation brings to life 17 seasonal parties from Relais & Châteaux members across North America. Each chapter is designed to celebrate the senses in a unique environment with exquisite food and cocktail recipes, creative décor and the thoughtful, creative touches for which Relais & Châteaux is renowned. Basically, the best gift you could ever give to someone that loves to throw a killer party.
Barbell Cut Crystal Set, Soho Home. I’ve been wanting to bring home the Soho House crystal glasses for a long while, so instead of gifting these, I may actually add them to my own Christmas list. Soho Home ‘s ‘Barwell’ set is made from weighty, mouth-blown crystal that’s hand-cut and polished for a perfectly smooth finish that sparkles in the light. Including a decanter, ice bucket and two rocks glasses, it’s the perfect set for a post-Christmas dinner drinks.
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Art Of Highlighting Christmas Set. My best friend gives me my perfume every year, which is so lovely because I always run out of it. Same goes for the Touche Éclat, you can never have too many back-ups for when this amazing highlighter has run out. Perfect for the hostess who loves their beauty products, this gift set also includes the Touche Éclat Blur Primer.
Alright girls, time to get gift-wrapping!
