American Girl in Chelsea

A chic guide for American women who have relocated to London, England.

GLAMOUR, THEATRE, OPULENCE: FASHION WITH LONDON ART STUDIES

September 16, 2015 | Leave a Comment

London Art Studies is launching a new series dedicated to fashion – a “diffusion line” if you will, just in time for London Fashion Week.

The first class takes place tomorrow – Thursday 17th September – and is titled The Story of Haute Couture. In it, fashion historian Amber Butchart will explore how the modern fashion industry has evolved — from the couturiers of the 17th century, via Dior’s New Look of the 1950’s through to Balenciaga and the stars of today.

As a special treat for AG readers, I have 5 sets of tickets to give away to the first 5 readers who comment on my instagram photo about this event. Each ticket would normally be £75 and the course takes place in the luxurious surroundings of the Bulgari Hotel Knightsbridge from 10am through noon tomorrow.
