4th of July is my favorite holiday after Christmas, and this year I’ll be spending it here in London. Sometimes it makes me super sad not to be on the beach with my girlfriends, watching fireworks and sipping mai-tais…. sometimes- ok all the time, but LUCKILY, there’s some really really fun things going on in town to make sure you don’t feel like you’re missing out by not being in the U.S of A!
Join me and Donna Ida today as we browse the new Wildfox collection, enjoy treats from Tanya’s Cafe, discounts and goody bags! I’ll be there from 11 AM this morning until 4PM, so please do come and say hi. It’s also the perfect opportunity to stock up on denim shorts for the summer.
Enjoy the 4th at the Mondrian’s Rumpus Room from 12PM-5Pm, the party includes market table food and champagne. The dress code is Hamptons Attire. Want to stay a linger after the party?! They also have a special 4th of July Spa menu including complimentary ice cream sundaes with all spa manicures and pedicures! Book your tickets, here.
To celebrate American Independence Balthazar in Covent Garden will be hosting a brunch over 4th July weekend, complete with brisket Hot Dogs, Bloody Mary pitchers and a DJ set from model Amber Le Bon if you go on Sunday 5th July. Also from today, Thursday, 2 July to Sunday, 5 July Balthazar will be ‘popping up’ in Covent Garden Piazza selling the mammoth ‘le sandwich americain’, Cheddar, fries (yes fries!), dill pickle and spicy cocktail sauce. There will be Stars & Stripes cookies, Union macaroons and Yellow NYC style taxis?! Book your table, here
No reservation needed! Simply stroll up to the Soho based Hot Dog joint and order your favorite dog. And because it’s going to be a super hot weekend, make sure to treat yourself to one of their delicious milkshakes. You can read my full review of Top Dog, here.
Some of my favorite memories were from nights spent at the Trader Vics in Beverly Hills, so I’m seriously considering stopping by the one here in London to taste their 4th of July of menu… more on that, here.
To mark the 4th of July Ride Republic are hoisting the Stars and Stripes with a USA themed ride on Thursday night. Friday evening will feature a UK vs. USA Battle Ride. It’s Brits on the left and Yanks on the right for this spin battle. After all, you’re going to be eating a lot of BB this weekend. May as well undo it. Book your bike, here.
