So if you read my tweets you know that Hubby’s law firm doesn’t allow wives to their Summer or Christmas parties…. and its black tie, and frankly, I think its rude.
SO, I opted to go big on Friday night and go out with one of my best girlfriends, dinner at 86 on the Fulham Road. Why? Because we were a bit disorganized this week, and thought, “Yes, stalking members of the cast from Made in Chelsea might be fun.”
This is the part of the post where I usually delve into what I ate and drank. I can’t. Because it was not that impressive. Yes, I believe Binky from MIC made an appearance, and if not it was some girl that looked like her, but other than that it was a bit of a let down.
The cocktail I ordered was called a “Porn star Martini” why? Why does mixing vodka and champagne automatically mean I should have to say “Porn Star”? Or is that just because it’s what the Tubev stars drink? Who knows. I ordered a chopped salad for a starter and nothing about it was chopped….
Yes, I wanted a night-out, but the waiters were way too flirty and the clientele were way too drunk. It was kind of like Raffles with bad food. Which may be okay at 2 AM, but not 10 PM….
So, thank my lucky stars for good company… and even though terribly named, decent drinks, otherwise I vote N.O.
Have you been?! Where is your go-to girls night out spot?

Great post, has certainly help me make up my mind about not going there!
So glad I'm not alone. Went there with a group of girl friends right when it opened and was sorely disappointed. The food was mediocre and the bar scene was as if everyone was holding their breath waiting for something cool to happen. NOT worth it for dinner.
Scratch this one off the list! Thanks ladies. I saw the Made in Chelsea crew twice in the last 2 weeks- both times in Mayfair- I think they're stalking me so if anyone wants to see them then want to head out for a ladies night? 🙂
AG, Leah, emailed: Pizza East, but that's because I live on the East side in Shoreditch, so I don't get to your part of town too often. But Pizza East has a really fun, lively atmosphere and if you sign up to be a PE member, (meaning you give them your email and they give you a keychain), you get 50% off on meals on Mondays which makes for a really fun, cheap night out. PE is part of the Soho Group and they've just opened up a Pizza East on Portabello Road. I haven't been yet, but from the website the vibe there looks a bit different than the hipster, warehouse vibe in Shoreditch. But it looks like it would be fun for drinks or even brunch on the weekend.
I can't believe you don't like it there! I love it, literally go the whole time. Yup, you have to hide from the MIC crew occasionally, but they all stick together so not too hard to do!

Love this. I didn’t love the menu either. We went when it first opened and no one was in there. It should have stayed Cactus Blue!
AG Emailed:
Eight over eight.
Thanks girls.
