If you are a regular reader you know that I have tried A LOT of diet food delivery services. Well, Balance Box is my new favorite. Created by Jennifer Irvine, who brought you The Pure Package, Balance Box is less expensive, but just as fantastic. Using fresh ingredients and ethically sourced ingredients from the New Covent Garden Market, your three meals and two snacks will be delivered to your door for you to have ready for the week ahead.
Whats different about Balance Box? First of all I found it really easy to transport the cartons to work which was really convenient. They also offer either a weekly plan or weekend plan. Your weekday plan gives you all the food you need from Monday-Thursday, whereas the weekend plan gives you everything from Friday onwards. I really liked this because I always end up going out one of the weekend nights, and so I order the weekday menu. That way, I don’t have to feel guilty about wasting any food on a Friday night. The price point really is reasonable- at £16.99/day, it’s a lot easier to justify than some of the diet plans.
Oh yeah, and yes it works. I have found that I can consistently lose about 2 lbs a week if stick to the plan. For those of you ladies that just want to maintain your figure, Balance Box offers an 1800 calorie a day menu (the super sized menu plan). I’m currently subscribed to the 1200 calorie option (market menu plan.)
Here’s the small bummer. Balance Box basically just launched, and due to it’s success, they are closing for a few weeks over the holidays to create more delicious options for the New Year. They are even creating a vegetarian option menu which I am super excited to try. So now that I’ve written you this review you’ll have to hold your horses a bit and wait to order after the New Year. But what better way to kick-off those weight-loss resolutions that we ALL have….
