{Fashion & Entertainment} Christian Louboutin Celebrates 20 Years at The London Design Museum

This evening Christian Louboutin celebrated the opening of his first ever exhibit at the London Design Museum.
The exhibit will showcase the French designer’s inspirations from the past twenty years, hundreds of his creations, a “fetish room”, and a life-size hologram of Dita Von Teese dancing in his shoes.
What more could you ask for!?

French shoe designer Christian Louboutin opened his first retrospective exhibition, at the Design Museum in London on Monday, April 30.

The exhibit opens to the public TOMORROW, May 1st and runs until July 9th. Tickets can be purchased online for the two daily sessions (morning and afternoon) and on Saturday evening. I am buying my tickets now.

{Shopping} Coach Opens Second Store in London.

If you were excited when they landed on Bond Street, you’ll be happy to know that Coach is opening up it’s second store TODAY on Regent’s Street.

In honor of the opening, Coach has created a signature tote called “The Bleeker Legacy” which is available in five different colors exclusively in the new store. The bag retails for £575.

{Eat & Drink} Power lunching at Medlar.

I am super late to the party on this one. Medlar, located just after the bend in the Kings Road, has been on my radar to try for a long time, and I am so glad that I finally did.

A girlfriend and I booked a table for lunchtime on a Friday, and Medlar was buzzing. This is definitely the place to power lunch in Chelsea.

When we said we were celebrating (hey, I am going to milk this childbirth thing for as long as I can!) the sommelier quickly attended to us and suggested a delicious bottle of sauvingon blanc.

Our waiter was very verbal about what we should order. He insisted that we must start with the crab ravioli with shrimp and leeks in a bisque sauce, and so we both agreed. All I can say is you must go and try for yourself because it was just scrumptious.

I followed with this artichoke dish… yum!

And we ended with this delicious cheesecake…

The food was just incredible, and the service was great. I will say that when we first sat down I felt like we were being a little bit rushed to order, obviously because the place was packed, but when the waiters realized we were going to take our sweet time finishing our vino, they calmed down.

Verdict:

(1) Book a table.

(2) Order the crab ravioli and the cheesecake.

{Beauty} A little Chanel Shine & Shimmer on a Rainy Day…

Today as I am snuggling in bed with Mini-AB, hiding from this terrible weather, I am remembering how beautiful last April was here in London. We had multiple BBQs in our our garden, celebrated the Royal Wedding, and I actually fit in my little flowery skirts and dresses.
