Fantastic new art gallery opens in Battersea….

Hi girls,

If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, I definitely would recommend checking out this wonderful new art gallery located just across the river in the Albion Riverside development. One of my dear dear friends has just opened it, and the pieces she has up now are beautiful, and inspirational.

Shanyan Fok, the owner and director of Hua Gallery is aiming to bring Contemporary Chinese Art to the West… starting right here in London. The current exhibition is by Yi Xuan, a Buddhist artist who depicts what he sees during meditation. As I said, beautiful and inspirational.

Shanyan has developed very special relationships with all of her artists has a deep passion for art, which clearly comes across when you set foot in her calm oasis of a gallery. With close to 2,000 square feet of gallery space, Hua Gallery is london’s only Chinese contemporary art gallery with a permanent exhibition space of this size and scale in London.

Pretty pretty plates…

One downfall of living in London, my wedding china is still in storage in LA. Yep. Still there. Formal AND Everyday. (Apologies to anyone reading this who sent us that china, I do love it still, and one day will send it over.)

ANYWAYS, I was sick and tired of being bored with my plates and things, and was inspired (as usual) at Liberty so I bought theeeeese…….. pretty huh?

“I feel like a good American steak,” said the Husband….

I’m not the type of AG that constantly craves red meat, however, for those of you that love your steak, or those of you (like me) that like the idea of a steakhouse because of the martinis and side-dishes (truffled mac and cheese, anyone?) then this post is for you!

One of my best AG pals and I recently went out on a double date to Goodman in Mayfair. We had a delicious meal at this “American-style steakhouse” with wonderful service (always a golden find in London) in a laid-back/post work-atmosphere.

I ordered a dirty martini with stilton-stuffed olives that was scrumptious. For dinner I shared the beef carpaccio and tomato and red onion salad, a delicious Scottish filet, creamed spinach, and of course that truffle mac and cheese….. yum, yum, and yum. Most of the cuts of meat on the menu are from the States, but I went Scottish because it was the smallest (had to save room for the good stuff.)

This is a wonderful place to take the parents/in-laws, etc if they are visiting London and love their steak, or a wonderful place to spoil your husband,

There’s also Goodman located in the City too, for hard-working AGs in that area.

Eat up my ladies…
