HELLLLLLLO SPRING!!!! Lady Londoners, unless you’ve been living under a Chelsea rock, you probably know that the Ivy Chelsea Garden has opened on Kings Road, and when I tell you that I spent most of the bank holiday weekend there I am not lying.

On Friday afternoon Husband and I set foot in the buzzing new restaurant. We were sat at a gorgeous table overlooking the garden and quickly offered cocktails and the menu. While my Husband was thrilled to see the Shepard’s Pie on the menu from the original Ivy in Soho, I was super excited to see some super girly options, like granola with almond milk, tuna carpaccio, and Eggs Benedict with avocado available on gluten-free bread if you ask. As my Husband rightly pointed out, “they know their Chelsea audience.” And I’m super happy about it. I ordered the tuna carpaccio with a delicious spicy bloody Mary to start and then the grilled chicken salad, which hit the spot.

The weather wasn’t super great on the Friday, and we had a a celebratory occasion on Monday, so we crossed our fingers and booked a table for Monday in the garden. Well, the weather was utter perfection and we spent three hours with our friends drinking rosé in the beautifully decorated garden sunshine. It seemed most of Chelsea (who were in town over the holiday anyways) had the same idea and before we knew it the garden was filled with all the lovely people in town.

Remember those healthy options I was telling you about? In the end, we threw caution to the wind and ordered the melting chocolate bombe with vanilla ice cream, a honeycomb centre, and served with hot salted caramel sauce. A must-order at least once in a while!

Trust me when I say, this will be your go-to spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner in the area. AND, if you’re lucky enough to get a reservation in the garden on a sunny day, you simply won’t want to leave.
