American Girl in Chelsea

A chic guide for American women who have relocated to London, England.

{Shopping} For the girl that hates wearing the same thing twice.

OK girls. It’s truth time. After I get this baby out of me in April, I’ve got a lot going on… Weddings, christenings, and all those events on the summer social calendar (Ascot, Polo, Henley) which I just LOVE attending. So, if this time is anything like the last, I will be about 10 different sizes this season. Fingers crossed, all getting smaller.
This is why I am sharing my love for Girls Meets Dress. Because, if you want to look stylish, don’t want to spend a lot of money for a dress you know you’re only going to wear once, but have a ton of options, then why not rent instead of buy!?
Girl Meets Dress stocks over 100 designers including DVF, Halston, Herve Leger, and Marc Jacobs. Simply choose a dress, have it delivered, and return in after your event. You’ll have your pick from some great styles, and still have cash for champagne!
Here are just a few of my favorites for spring…
Rent this hot little number from 3.1 Philip Lim from £59.
As seen on the lovely Cameron Diaz.
Loving this Tory Burch sheath dress. Perfect for a ladies lunch, tea, wedding/baby shower…
So pretty, so girly, so Erdem! Did someone say garden party?!
Girl Meets Dress also has a range of accessories, including bags, and as of last week they also added hats and fascinators. So now you have no excuse for that really annoying English bride who is insisting on every guest wearing one at her wedding…
The site carries some fab Bundle MacLaren creations. You may remember Bundle’s designs from the 12  bespoke hats she designed for the Royal Wedding!
