I’ve just returned from a whirlwind weekend in NYC and the short trip reminded me why I love the city so much. First, I have so many lovely friends there, mainly from college, but others that have left London to return to their lives in the Big Apple. Second, the food and the shopping is JUST, SO, GOOD. Anyways, I took a hot minute to take some photos before dinner one evening of one of my absolute favorite new purchases and I am excited to share these with you.
Needle & Thread is a British brand that launched in 2013 and I am obsessed. Much like Self-Portrait, the dresses are both beautiful and affordable. I’ve worn their dresses to Fashion Week and to a number of dinners and parties in London. When I realized that I had flown to L.A and forgot to pack a dress for my cousin’s rehearsal dinner I knew I could find a Needle & Thread dress online in a matter of minutes. (Thank you Net-a-Porter). This blue dress has the most gorgeous embroidery, including mutli-coloured flowers and a large silver dragonfly, and comes in a few different colors. It’s perfect for wedding season, garden parties, or just lunch at the Ivy Chelsea Garden with your girlfriends.
While quick-shopping for this dress I found about a dozen other styles that I wanted. Needle & Thread make jumpsuits, long gowns and even jackets. Now it’s just a matter of finding an excuse to buy a new one. Polo in the Park? Ascot? I’m sure I’ll find one.
I’ll write another post about everything we did (and ate) in New York so stay turned for that but for now I hope you enjoy these photos around the city.
A few of my current favorite Needle & Thread styles are here for you to take a look…
