I literally can’t believe we are already talking about Christmas. It used to be we had until Thanksgiving to start stressing about all the people we had to shop for. I’ve decided that this year I am going to be more relaxed about the entire process and enjoy selecting things for people…fingers crossed.
So without further adieu, here’s the first installment of a few things that I think would make a great gift, this time for the man in your life.
With the chilly London weather your boyfriend/Husband/brother can never have too many sweaters and scarves to bundle up and keep warm. This Beams Plus sweater is made of extra warm wool. Pair with this Thom Browne scarf (knitted in Ireland) for your visits to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park or to cozy up by the outdoor fire at Soho Farmhouse.
You could even go one step further and invest in a crewneck to bring out his handsomeness! Rather than him just wearing the same old tee or sweater – it’s always nice to have something quality – especially when there are sales going on! That’s why I like to peruse on online stores for styles like Henleys or crewnecks. Such quality, and the perfect smart causal wear in the colder months.
The holidays are the best time of year to play couch potato, and I love buying pajamas for people at Christmastime. The checked PJs from Sleepy Jones will be perfect for Christmas morning, boxing day, and beyond. Cue endless hours of football watching.
My Husband recently started playing chess with Mini AG, and they love their game nights together. This Hector Saxe game kit is made in Paris and contains a leather and suede backgammon board, a wooden chess set, dominoes, dice and two sets of cards. Perfect for hours of fun after all of the presents are unwrapped.
If your man, like mine, is constantly traveling for work, this Bang & Olufsen portable bluetooth speaker is perfect for making their hotel rooms their chill out (or party?) zone. Bring your favorite tunes to a picnic in the park in the summer and have your favorite tunes on-demand 24/7. There’s a lot of portable speakers out there, but I love the sleek masculine look of this one.
British men love their crazy colored socks, my husband included! Since my husband found out that you could upload your face on socks, as you can guess, his obsession with crazy socks has only grown. He has become addicted to having a little pop of color with his suit everyday. Not to mention, socks are the perfect male stocking stuffer! These Paul Smith striped polka dots will brighten even the gloomiest London day.
My favorite items on this list are the Sterling Silver Rocket Cocktail Shaker by Asprey and the Crystal Stag Decanter. I mean the one brings out his inner child (cocktails in a space rocket, I can’t even), and the other is super sophisticated. I can’t decide! They are both so fab. I am currently debating between the two to liven up our bar. Which one do you love more?
