American Girl in Chelsea

A chic guide for American women who have relocated to London, England.

{My Style} A Garden Party Gown

June 6, 2017 | Leave a Comment

When I was in Los Angeles for the Easter Break I saw this Saloni dress in a boutique and I knew that it had to come home with me for several upcoming luncheons and garden parties in London. When I did more research into the brand I found that it’s a London-based designer, so basically it was meant to be!

The ultra-feminine dress is made from tulle and has incredible floral embroidery throughout. The detail and tailoring at the waist also make it super flattering. The design also comes in a floral top which you can pair with a long skirt and an A-line skirt style which is perfect if you love the print but would prefer it for an evening dress.

I paired the dress with my favorite black Bottega Veneta knot clutch and a strappy black pair of heels, however you could have a lot of fun and do a red or bright blue heel as well. If there was ever a reason to wear a red lip it’s this dress. I used Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, Famous Red, it goes on creamy but stays on for ages.

There’s links to everything here below, including some additional Saloni styles I love, and more photos on my instagram @americangirlinchelsea!
