American Girl in Chelsea

A chic guide for American women who have relocated to London, England.

Groceries…

May 11, 2010 | Leave a Comment

One of the things I wish someone would have told me when I first moved to London was that grocery stores deliver! I know, sounds simple, right? But, this is especially important for us American Girls who do not have cars- and love to have large bottles of Evian handy! I usually order from Ocado, the delivery company that partners with the grocery store, Waitrose. The minimum delivery is £40- but if you are doing your shop for the week, I find it is usually worth it.
Also, if you haven’t discovered the massive Whole Foods on High Street Kensington yet- you must go! This is where I used to do all my grocery shopping in the states! Now when I want to do a special shop I go to Whole Foods and after paying at the till, I can have all my goodies delivered. Even better- there are Whole Foods stores in Clapham Junction and Soho now. To check for the store closest to you and whether you can have delivery to your postcode, check the web.
