I’ve grabbed Vereo food before, usually after a work-out with Chloe Hodgson at Lomax. Well, the Michelin-trained chef, James Brown of Vereo has gained a big fan base of people (they now also sell at Equinox) who adore his food so he started doing home deliveries. He offered to let me try a week of fresh, organic, gluten/sugar/dairy-free meals and of course I said yes without hesitation.
Let me just say something. I have tried A LOT of at home delivery food services over the years. Whether it’s companies that wanted me to test them for blog reviews, or just me wanting to see whats out there, I believe I have tried most of the healthy meal deliveries in London. Vereo is OFFICIALLY my all time favorite. So much so that after a free week, I’ve signed up for another week of deliveries, and started to tell everyone I know.
I feel like I was a bit in a healthy eating rut, and James at Vereo has totally changed everything. First of all, I look forward to each and every meal or snack. All of the other services I’ve tried there was always one or two things I left behind. Second, I’ve realized I love healthy foods that I hadn’t ever tried before. Quail eggs? Who knew that they were the perfect mid-morning pick-me-up. Chia seeds and coconut milk? One of my new favorite breakfasts.
The best part of James’s programs is that they are TOTALLY and COMPLETELY bespoke. Want to eat healthy, but not lose any weight? James will ensure you have the perfect meals delivered that will keep you full based on your food preferences, amount of exercise you do, etc.
There’s no limit on limitations either. By this I mean that I’ve encountered other at-home delivery services that will only let you opt out of one or two ingredients. Whereas I’m constantly in touch with James telling him if there’s anything I’d like him to leave out or add for my next delivery. I basically have my own personal chef!
The proof is in the dairy-free pudding. I’ve been doing Vereo now for 6 1/2 days and I’ve already lost 2 pounds AND my jeans are loose. Ladies, I’m totally hooked.
Now, don’t be concerned… James website is currently under-construction. You can reach him on his personal email james@vereo.co.uk and get updates from his twitter feed @veryvereo. With the summer coming up it is the absolute perfect time to try out this AMAZING food!!
