After spending the past two months bouncing back and forth to California, I feel like my diet has gone completely out of whack. I wanted to start fresh and try something new to get me back on my healthy routine. I have been a big fan of The Pure Package for a long time. For me, it’s great because I have a husband who works late, and unless I want to eat macaroni and chicken nuggets with the kids for dinner, I usually don’t cook for myself in the evenings and either end up eating terrible-for-you snacks or nothing at all.
When I heard about The Pure Package’s new Japanese Boost programme I had to try it. After all, I love sushi…
The three day programme promises to fill you with antioxidants and essential minerals to support the body’s ability to eliminate toxins, promote immune function and keep energy levels stable throughout the day. Each day the breakfast consisted of miso soup with a different kind of vegetable. My favorite one was the shitake mushrooms. You drink the soup and have a side of edamame beans, and surprisingly, it really fills you up. The soup is also perfect to get warm on a cold London morning.
Lunch was usually a delicious mixture of sushi and salad, which was RIGHT up my ally. I know some people who go for Japanese Lunch Bowls every day due to their lightweight but filling options, but this is wonderful too. Dinner meals were always warm and usually consisted of fish. My favourite was the miso cod with wild rice and japanese vegetables. Another reason to love the Pure Package is that if you take the meals out of their container and actually put them on a plate, you feel your meal has just been prepared for you by a five-star chef.
After three days of deliveries, my jeans were looser and I definitely felt a new kick-start to my diet. I also re-fell in love with The Pure Package deliveries and signed up for a few more weeks of their delicious normal menus, with the aim of doing the Japanese Body Boost at least once a month.
It’s almost party dress season after all!
