American Girl in Chelsea

A chic guide for American women who have relocated to London, England.

{Eat & Drink} Tis the season to drink bubbles…

December 13, 2011 | 1 Comment

I personally think that anyone brave enough to shop around Oxford Street during this time of year deserves a medal. Or at least a glass of champagne.

Good news!  Flute has opened for you to relax, unwind, and toast your latest purchases.

If you are a former New-Yorker you may recognize the champagne bar and lounge. There are two locations in NYC (and one location in Paris.)  Their London location just opened last week, and AG was on hand to take a few very small sips of bubbly.
There are cozy couches, warm fireplaces, and private seating areas for a post-shop snuggle. They have a menu that includes tasting flights, items to munch on (foie gras burgers looked amazing and they have over 20 different spring rolls), and of course pages and pages of champagne (be sure to taste the Perrier Jouët Grand Brut, an AG recommendation)!
Flute will also have events featuring DJs, live jazz, food pairings, and champagne tasting classes.  They’re already advertising their New Years Eve night, so keep checking their website  to stay up to date.

Flute is located at 4 Great Portland Street, London W1W 8PA

You're kidding?! I love Flute. I had only been a couple times when I lived in New York, but it had a great vibe. Oh, this has made my day 🙂
