Summer is upon us, and to be honest with you I have not been bueno about prepping. And clearly I haven’t been so good on keeping you AGs updated either, so for that I apologise. Recently I decided to go back to work full-time. If you’re a regular reader than you may remember that I launched a social media and PR agency (Hashtag Haute) a couple years ago. I was freelancing from home, taking the clients in stride, at my own pace. This gave me the opportunity to spend time with the kids, and also gave me more than adequate gym time and time to spend seeing friends. THEN, one of my PR clients, Quiqup (more all about them here) asked me to come in house and everything changed. I’m now in an office 9-5 and I get the regular morning guilt trip “Why are you never here when we are home mommy?! I miss you.” Holy crap the guilt. Being a working mom is super tough you guys, and even though I am in total and complete love with my job, there’s always this feeling of inadequacy hanging around you like a cloud. When I am in the office, I feel like I should be at home. When I am home, I feel like I should be in the office. And when I have a spare second of no work to do and no children to play with, I feel bad that I am not blogging for you girls….
So enough about that. There’s the personal life update. Now on to more important and fun topics. If you haven’t been to CPRESS on the Fulham Road, this is a must visit. After an addiction to the Rainbow Circus salad, I decided it was time to try one of their juice cleanses. Problem is, my brain is usually half-functionable (not sure that’s a word) when I am on one of these cleanses and I couldn’t do that and actually go to work- that’s where CPRESS’s milks or salads come in. CPRESS offers an amazing range of different cleanses, all with juices- but some can also include salads and their amazing almond milks, which means you get that total and complete cleansed feeling, but not the feeling like you may pass out or fall over. I’ve just completed three days of the Savansana Cleanse, and the lack of gym time hasn’t felt like such a huge ordeal now. It’s also help me destress a little bit about this life change situation.
CPRESS is located at 285 Fulham Road SW10, and there is also one at 7 Crossroad Walk E145FY in Canary Wharf. You can order your cleanses at CPRESSJUICE.com or in store. And here’s the treat. Quiqup will deliver it for you.
Happy Summer!
