American Girl in Chelsea

A chic guide for American women who have relocated to London, England.

Blooming Marvelous…

May 11, 2010 | 1 Comment

It took quite some time before I found a florist I love in London, although, I have to give credit to my hubby on this one. I was just reminded how much I love Amanda Austin Flowers on Mothers Day when the bouquet of bright pink and purple hydrangeas, peonies, and roses arrived at my door. I definitely recommend you visit either the shop at the Chelsea Gardner or on the Kings Road. However, if you don’t have the time the girls are great at taking orders over the phone.

Wild at Heart is another lovely flower shop located on the Pimlico Road and at my absolute favorite department store, Liberty. I love popping in to the Pimlico shop to browse their fab selection of coffee table books, pots, and throw pillows. I also adore the giant bathtub in the back of the store full of fresh cut blossoms. However if you’re in a rush you can also order online.

If you’re in the Marylebone area, particularly if you are a visiting a girlfriend at the Portland Hospital, pop into Jamie Aston, where the arrangements can only be defined as floral couture. I was sent a gorgeous bunch by them after the birth of our little girl, and I loved it so much that I called them to order one for my consultant. The shop also has some fabulous vases and beautiful gifts.

Hi American Girl! Try William Clarke on Seymour Place (behind Marble Arch tube area) or Bloomsbury Flowers on Great Queen Street!
