Today’s post is dedicated to a special lady named Chloe Hodgson. About two months ago I found out that I had some bad problems in my back. I was told by doctors that I had to stop working out for a bit and concentrate on have physiotherapy. Boring, I know. Right about the same time, Chloe got in touch and asked if I would like to try a Pilates class. After clearing it with my doctor I booked a session at Lomax.
Chloe had me hooked from about two seconds. I had actually never tried Pilates on the reformer machine and I immediately felt like I was getting a good workout without putting any unnecessary strain on my back. It also was extremely helpful that Chloe was watching me every step of the way and making sure that I was doing each exercise correctly.
After just one session I was hooked, and I quickly scheduled two sessions a week for the next month. So far, I’m two weeks in, and my back is feeling better than it has since I had the diagnosis. (I’m combining my sessions with Chloe with private sessions at Barrecore with Morgan Ramirez, and I feel so much happier.) I know I’m getting stronger, and it’s only a matter of time before I can back in my Real Ryder spin class!
One of the reasons that I love my Pilates hour is the intense stretching that we do in-between exercise. I also love the little mini-massages that Chloe gives me while in those deep stretches. Chloe teaches at Lomax on the Fulham Road, but she will also do private sessions in the comfort of your home or office. I highly recommend you try these sessions, whether you’re a Pilates-pro, or had never stepped foot on the reformer, like me. You may just get addicted…. I surely did!

My Blonde Reality says
I am a HUGE fan of Lomax. I credit their Pilates for reshaping me this summer, saw a massive difference in very little time and with very little strain. Iwona is my favourite teacher, closely followed by Jill.
Real Ryder nearly killed me though.. really want to conquer it!
