I don’t know about you, but I am feeling a little partied out at the moment, and we still have a week left to go until Christmas! I thought it would be a good time to post a few tips to keep us all going strong until New Years, so I asked fitness and health guru, Chloe Hodgson to give us AG’s a few pointers… Chloe says:
Stick to eating a healthy and nutritious breakfast where possible. Here are a few of my favorites, Eat Your Breakfast: http://chloespilates.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/eat-your-breakfast.html
Seek out moments to stay active. Go for a 20 minute jog (wrap up warm!), then follow my 10 minute bums & tums blast at home http://chloespilates.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/10-minute-pilates-bum-tum-blast-you-can.html
Avoid drinking alcohol on an empty stomach. Eat something nutritious before you head out. This will slow down the absorption of alcohol into your bloodstream.
Choose the healthy canapé options. Claudia Winfield is here to help with a few of her favorite healthy canapé recipes http://chloespilates.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/guest-blog-healthy-canapes-by-claudia.html
Up your vitamins and antioxidants. Here are a few of my favourites – Vitamin C, B-complex, acai berries, blueberries, garlic, ginger, green tea, Chlorella (helps reduce a hangover!) and take a good multivitamin. You could even look at making your own supplements using empty gelatin capsules and pre-ground herb powders of your choice – click for more info on how you can make them and take charge of your health regime for yourself.
Stay hydrated which will help a hangover. Lots of water and Coconut water is great for rehydration as it is naturally rich in electrolytes.
