When I first came over to London to study during college, Bliss was the only game, or shall I say, spa in town. I used to have most of my beauty treatments done there and for good reason. The service is always great, and I adore the products. After a particularly stressful couple of days I decided to pop in to Bliss on Sloane Avenue one afternoon for a massage.
I booked in for a 75 minute deep tissue. Upon arriving at the spa, I was directed downstairs to the ladies locker room. Because I had been there before I knew the drill. Find a locker, grab a robe, head straight to the relaxation area.
I love Bliss, but it’s not the type of spa you linger in. It’s kind of get in, have your treatment, and get out. It’s fine to sit in the relaxation area for a little while flipping through Tatler, but it’s not the kind of place you want to spend an entire afternoon. (You know my love of the Four Seasons’s pods.)
The treatment began with a paraffin wrap on my super tired tootsies, and then the therapist then gave me a wonderful full body massage. I’m the girl that likes a massage to hurt. Get in there and get those knots OUT! I always get nervous to ask for stronger pressure, but the gal really listened to me and upped the ante.
The Bliss store inside the spa is the perfect place to pick up your favorite products.
Afterwards the treatment I had a quick glass of water and then it was home to the babies. Such a lovely break in the day, and such a great reminder of what a wonderful no-nonsense spa Bliss is. I’ll be back.
