American Girl in Chelsea

A chic guide for American women who have relocated to London, England.

A very Lanvin Christmas.

Forget Rockefeller Center, the must-see Christmas tree is at Claridges. The last two years have stunned us with creations from Dior, but we all know how the whole Galliano thing went down, so Claridges needed to bring in some new couture genius this year. And they chose well if I do say so myself.

The Lanvin Christmas tree at Claridges opens TODAY.

And I for one, can’t wait to get over there and witness the holiday loveliness for myself. Alber Elbaz will be designing the Christmas tree in the iconic London hotel. He is creating a colorful and whimsical design complete with his trademark marionettes dressed in Lanvin-designed Claridge’s hotel uniforms

The sketch.

Elbaz says, “The concept of the Christmas Tree decoration is to create an installation that carries the spirit of Lanvin, an infusion of tradition and modernity at the same time. The tree is to emanate and bring heartwarming joy to all who work and stay as guests at Claridge’s hotel: It’s my way to wish them a very Merry Christmas.”
The tree will be on display from today until January 2nd.

I can’t WAIT to see it!
What’s your favorite Christmas tree in London?!
