You remember the SATC episode where Samantha snuck into the roof top pool at Soho House? Well, if you’re looking for a touch of NYC in London, look no further than Shoreditch House. This private members club in East London is perfect for a girls night out and part of the Soho House Group.
Shoreditch House itself is a large converted warehouse, with several restaurants and bars (plus a bowling alley!) across 6 floors for members and their guests. We had dinner in the roof-top bar and kitchen, which is in a glass-house adjacent to the roof-top pool.
We had a lovely view of East London and there was a log fire roaring in the center of the glasshouse. The menu was casual but good – I had a veal Milanese which was well-cooked and yummy.
The ambience was great, the crowd was chic and trendy, and the evening was a lot of fun. One of the questions I had was what to wear to a place like Shoreditch House! While I opted for my sequined leggings and patent-leather wedges, I noticed that the girls wore anything from skinny jeans and uggs to glam cocktail dresses and stilettos. For guys though, the dress code is stricter… strictly no-suits-allowed. After my fun night out I’ve decided that a visit to the fabulous roof-top pool in the summer is a must!
