{Mummy & Me} A Mini-Princess Make-Over at The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

December 16, 2013 | 1 Comment

Yesterday Mini-AG and I went to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Harrods. It was seriously one of the most adorable experiences I have every done with her. Located on the 4th floor of Harrods, conveniently next to the Disney Store and the Disney Cafe, we checked into the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and were greeted by Mini-AG’s fairy godmother in training, Natalie. Natalie was the sweetest lady and Mini-AG immediately grabbed her hand as we were led through the double doors to the giant magic mirror.

After being given a magic wand, Mini-AG and Natalie shouted “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo” and the Fairy Godmother appeared in the magic mirror to welcome her to the boutique. She had a special message for us about all of the qualities a true Princess has, including kindness and loyalty. We then shouted the magic words again and the salon doors opened.

Mini-AG was asked which Princess she loved the most, and when she exclaimed “Aurora” she was led into a dressing room where a sparkling Sleeping Beauty dress was waiting for her to put on. She started ripping off her jumper while shouting “Mommy!!! This is so exciting!!!”

Natalie then brought us to Mini-AG’s salon chair. She asked if she wanted pink or purple nails, and Mini-AG (I don’t know where she gets it) shouted “BOTH!” So with an alternating color manicure in process, the other Fairy Godmothers in training began acting out a story from Sleeping Beauty. Mini-AG was fascinated and entertained the entire time.

The Princess make-over continued with face painting and a Royal hairstyle including a tiara and roses which were placed in Mini-AG’s hair. When the beauty session was complete Natalie turned Mini-AG around to look in the mirror and her mouth dropped. I started to tear up and all of the other Fairy Godmothers in training were jumping up and down and squealing. It was a Mommy-moment I will NEVER forget.

Obviously this sort of things needs major documentation, and so our little Royal photo-shoot ensued. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has several scenes for your little Princess (or Knight) to pose in front of, including Cinderella’s carriage, and a Royal Throne.

Just before leaving Natalie read the royal proclamation confirming Mini-AG as a true princess, and then we were able to look at all of the photos from beginning to end. Depending on the package that you choose, you are given several photos, but are also able to purchase more or put them all in a special fairytale book which shows the entire transformation of your little Royal.

It was an afternoon I will always remember, and is a really special treat for any Mini!
