American Girl in Chelsea

A chic guide for American women who have relocated to London, England.

{A Date for Your Diary} Time to start thinking about Thanksgiving.

November 1, 2011 | Leave a Comment

Happy November!

Halloween is over, and since the Brits don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, the Christmas decorations are already out in full effect in London. But us Americans still have a little holiday to stress about.

Thanksgiving!

Have no idea where to get started this year? Here is an invitation from the Benjamin Franklin House to kick-start your planning.

This November, Benjamin Franklin House will be hosting its annual Thanksgiving Dinner at The Butchers’ Hall, London.
On Thursday, 24th November, they will be receiving guests for aperitifs at 7:30 PM followed by the main dinner.
This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate with a traditional American Thanksgiving Dinner in a most traditionally English venue. All proceeds will go towards maintaining the world’s only remaining Franklin home in the heart of London.
For some some more info on ordering pies, and finding those must-have ingredients, see last year’s post here.
