Hello my lovelies. I thought this sounded like a lovely idea for a Saturday, especially if this weather keeps up!
Coffee and Cake Cycling Cruise to take place in Kensington and Chelsea on Saturday 8th October
If sampling macarons and sipping macchiatos is your idea of heaven, then the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s Bikeminded Coffee and Cake Cycling Cruise is a definite date for the diary.
On Saturday 8th October, the Royal Borough is inviting members of the public to join them on a two and a half hour afternoon cycling cruise around some of the Royal Borough’s most prestigious and delicious cafes and cake shops.
As part of its recently launched Bikeminded campaign, which aims to get more residents and workers in the borough on cycling, the cruise will introduce people to the pleasures of two wheels with a route through some of the most beautiful streets in borough and some mouth-watering stops along the way.
Cycling is an excellent way to burn off calories, which is exactly what will be needed on this cruise, which starts at a coffee spot in Notting Hill and weaves its way to Pierre Herme in Knightsbridge for some award-winning macarons before finishing in Chelsea.
For those who are novice cyclists help will be on hand with Royal Borough marshals to ensure safety at all times and there will also be valet cycle parking during the cake and coffee shop visits.
The cost of the tour is just £5.00 per person (including cakes and coffee!) and participants are advised to bring their own bike, although they can hire one from a Barclays Cycle Hire Docking Station nearby. With a limited number of places available, advanced booking to secure a place is a must. To book please visit www.bikeminded.org
Enjoy the ride ladies!
