Gather up your friends and family troops and sign up for the 3rd annual..

LONDON WALKABOUT

A FREE 5K family fun walk around the Serpentine Lake in Hyde Park on Saturday 28th September at 11am.

It’s a great family event that not only gets you out and about and exercising, but also raises money for the Walkabout Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on funding research to find a cure for paralysis and donating wheelchairs to people in need around the world.

LONDON WALKABOUT 2013 is not just another charity walk, it’s a family fun day, complete with a scrumptious post-walk picnic in the park courtesy of Italian deli, La Bottega and entertainment for everyone, including stretching and yoga sessions for parents, whilst the kids are entertained by renowned children’s party planners, Sharky & George, alongside face painters and children’s nail painters Little BU. You can be sure that the little’uns will have a blast!

If that’s not enticing enough, the first 400 participants to sign up receive an amazing goody bag with treats and trinkets from Net-A-Porter, Jax Coco, Bounce Balls, Lola’s Cupcakes, Fruit Bowl, Eat Natural, Green & Black’s, Burt’s Bees, ASDA and more! There’s also a chance to win a new pair of Tod’s shoes, a baby jogger, Sketchers sneakers for the whole family, a KX weekend for 2 with personal training and lunch included, Sisley spa treatments, Bobbles water bottles and more!

It’s totally FREE to take part but every family is encouraged to raise money from family and friends for going the distance on Walkabout’s individual fundraising pages. You’d be surprised how much difference even a small amount can make (£10 for a wheelchair’s wheel). They’ll set you up with your own page once you sign up by simply emailing your name(s) and kids’ ages to events@walkaboutfoundation.org.
