On Friday evening our amazing maternity nurse gave us the go-ahead to spend a night away from the little ones and have some much needed couple time. Because the weather has been so incredible I texted a girlfriend to ask what great hotels in the city had some outdoor space where we could have a long lunch in the sun. She quickly responded that if I hadn’t already, I must try the Corinthia.
All I can say is WOW!

We quickly set-up camp in The Courtyard and ordered lunch. The open-face Devon crab sandwich was delish! Although there wasn’t a ton of direct sunlight, it was great to be outside.
And so was the mojito…
After lunch we explored the hotel. There is a mini-Harrods in the Corinthia with all those special things you may like to grab for friends and family.
And an in-house florist to make sure the hotel is always blooming beautiful!
No trip to the Corinthia is complete without a visit to the spa, which is pretty much what the hotel has become known for. Espa Life at the Corinthia is 2,500 square meters of an amphitheatre style sauna, hammam, steam room (with a very convenient ice fountain outside), and rows of private suites and relaxation pods, which I got lost wandering.
I had a fantastic and much-needed deep tissue massage after napping on the marble heated loungers. A little hint, the spa is co-ed so make sure you bring your swimsuit. At first I found this a bit annoying as I am used to not having to pay attention to being clothed in spas, but then I came to realize it’s a great way to relax with your other-half.

While I was having my massage, Hubby ordered room service…
I may have had a few bites!
We woke up on Saturday morning, and ordered a lovely breakfast to the room, only to spot the lovely selections in the lobby on our way out…
We left the Corinthia super relaxed and ready to take Mini AG and Mini AB to a sunny picnic in the park, where Hubby and I decided this “getting away in London for a night” would become a regular affair.
