Tip: Order of the deli section of the menu, there are some great sandwiches, or ask for the salads of the day, which are always new and although sound a bit quirky (beetroot, squash, and goats cheese?) are really yum!
If you're in the area, definitely check it out. It may be my new local, although I do feel a bit guilty cheating on The Cross Keys.

OKAY SO, service at The Phene not so great lately- anyone had similar experiences? Although they just added a very nice iced latte. Cheers! xx
I like The Phene, but mostly because one can sit outside. The food service was iffy the first time I went when it just opened (thanks to your recommendation ;-)), but I just had drinks this last time and it was ok.

Hi Canadian Girl. Yes, agreed. However, The Phene is on their third manager- an awesome American guy named Jason, and he is slowly but surely turing the place around.
